Announcement: Join a guided tour from Rethymno to the famous Cretan Knife Factory, Zeus Cave, Pottery Workshops, and Knossos Palace with a Russian-speaking guide. A journey through Crete’s crafts, history, and mythology awaits!

A guided tour from Rethymno offers a unique combination of traditional craftsmanship, breathtaking nature, and ancient history. During this full-day trip, you will see how the famous Cretan knives are made, explore the legendary Zeus Cave, watch potters at work and try the wheel yourself, and walk through the halls of the majestic Knossos Palace.

This journey includes the following highlights:

  • Cretan Knife Factory;
  • Zeus Cave (closed for reconstruction from 01.10.2024 to May 2026 — replaced by a visit to Lasinthos Park on Lassithi Plateau);
  • Pottery Workshops;
  • Knossos Palace.

We start from Rethymno at 07:00 and head east. The first stop at 08:30 is the Cretan Knife Factory for a one-hour guided visit, where you’ll discover the traditions and craftsmanship behind these world-famous blades. At 09:30, we drive to Zeus Cave, arriving at 10:00. Here, you will explore the mythical birthplace of Zeus and enjoy lunch in a local taverna — 2.5 hours in total.

Next, at 12:40, we visit the Pottery Workshops for 50 minutes of demonstrations and hands-on experience. By 15:00, we arrive at the Knossos Palace for a two-hour guided tour through the most iconic Minoan site. The day concludes with a return to Rethymno at 17:00.
