From the Lassithi plateau to the Cave of Zeus there is a path of about 800 metres with a height difference of about 140 metres. The trail is steep in places but quite smooth. If you find it difficult to walk uphill, you can “rent” a donkey to go up and down from the cave.
Please note that you will have to walk part of the way, and you will not be able to use a stroller in the cave. Therefore, if you want to take small children with you, we recommend a backpack to carry them.
In the middle of the day the bus will stop at the Seli Pass, where the family tavern Seli Ambeli is located. There you can order home-cooked meals (costing about 10-15 euros per person). You can also just relax, walk along the pass to the windmills or have lunch from the lunch box taken from the hotel.
Everything for protection from the midday sun: headgear, sunglasses, sun cream. It is advisable to bring drinking water. For this trip, choose comfortable shoes and take additionally something light from clothes that can be quickly put on in the cave (the temperature there is only about +16C).
If you wish, you will be accompanied by a guide who speaks your language. If there is no guide, our driver can replace him, as he is a real professional in this matter.
In case of cancellation more than a day in advance – 75% refund. In case of cancellation less than a day in advance – the cost is non-refundable.
